Grace Christian School offers a
college-preparatory academic
program. The following course listing
meets both state and GCS
college-preparatory diploma requirements.
The numbers of required credits listed are
the minimum necessary for the
college-preparatory diploma. Students
have the opportunity to take additional
courses, and they can graduate with up
to 28 credits.
Community Service Requirement
To meet graduation requirements, high
school students must complete 25 hours
of community service each year they
attend GCS, with a minimum of 100
hours. This ensures graduates are
in compliance with Florida Bright Futures
requirements.
GCS students earn credits in compliance with FDOE requirements for high school graduation. Students earn a minimum of 24 credits according to a college preparatory schedule and includes the following:
College Prep Diploma
(24 Credit Minimum)
English - 4 credits
Math - 4 credits
Science - 3 credits (Biology and two other classes with labs)
Social Science - 3 credits (World History, US History, American Government & Economics)
Personal Fitness/Health Management - 1 credit
Spanish - 2 credits
Bible - 4 credits* (*1 credit for each year of attendance at GCS)
Financial Literacy - 1 credit
Performing / Practical Arts - 1 credit
Additional Electives - (1-4 credits)
